The mission of Baldock Health Care Centre is to administer personalized quality medical and nursing care to our residents in a comfortable, friendly environment.  Each resident's care is planned by an interdisciplinary team consisting of the physician, registered nurses, therapists, social worker, dietician, and activity director.  Individualized care is delivered with participation from residents, their families, and significant others.

Baldock Health Care Centre is staffed 24 hours a day with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.  A continuous quality improvement program is in place and carefully monitored to insure that our goals are met.  We are a skilled-care facility and offer the following specialty care and services:

Our Social Services Department will assist in the transition from hospital or home to a nursing home environment.  Some of our services include:

• Providing information regarding the financial aspect of long term care.  We accept the following payment types:  Managed Care, Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, and Private Pay.
• Explaining potential insurance benefits for skilled care.  We want to ease your concerns and ensure comfort with the decision of choosing the appropriate nursing home.

Baldock Health Care Centre offers intensive rehabilitation services that include physical, occupational, and speech therapy.  The goal is to assist our residents in achieving their highest level of independence.  Services are provided by licensed therapists to meet the individual needs of clients. These services are provided in our modern rehab gym, in the resident's room, or in our fully-equipped, furnished apartment, which has been carefully designed to assimilate a home-like atmosphere.   Our services include:

Our dietary department provides nutritional meals, serving general, therapeutic, and modified diets to meet the individual needs of our residents.   Residents may dine in our spacious dining room or in the privacy of their own rooms.  Family and friends are also welcome to join residents for meals.

Visiting hours are 24 hours a day.  However, if you plan to visit before 9:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m., please inform the nurse in the respective unit.   We have a lovely courtyard and enclosed picnic pavilion, as well as a family activity room and multipurpose television room for visiting convenience and enjoyment.   Baldock encourages visits and support from family members and friends during the resident's stay.

Baldock Health Care Centre is located in North Huntingdon Township in Westmoreland County on Barnes Lake Road just off Route 30 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  The facility is located within a 10-mile radius of several major hospitals.
