Charlotte Hall Veterans Home is a 378-bed facility for honorably discharged veterans who are residents of Maryland. Included within the 378 beds are a 100-bed assisted living unit, a 42-bed Alzheimer's/related dementia unit, and a 36-bed Medicare certified unit. Our facility offers a full range of rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies. Special Care Charlotte Hall has a program designed especially for the comfort, security and care of residents with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia. Located in Charlotte Hall's newest addition, this self-contained special care unit features its own private courtyard and patio. Charlotte Hall's emphasis on nutrition plays an important role in the care of its Alzheimer residents. Innovative therapeutic programs help residents stay active. Among the facility's many services are full orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation for stroke victims or residents with hip and knee replacements. Charlotte Hall provides needed diagnostic and medical services on site. It has facilities for dental and podiatry care. A full range of speech and occupational therapies are also available.
